"Fair Chocolate", School Journal, level 4, November 2014

18 November 2014

Title and first two pages of the article

Ewan Cameron works for a fair-trade company. He’s part of a project team responsible for setting up the company’s new chocolate factory in Sydenham in Christchurch.

The company Ewan works for is not for profit. This means that instead of using any profit to reward owners or shareholders, the company has a very different purpose: using its money to improve the lives of the people it trades with, all of whom live in developing countries.

You can find a PDF version of this article, the teacher support materials, and the audio files on Literacy Online: "Fair chocolate".
